EIS Identification Program Wins Community Impact Award

Congratulations to the Ethnic and Intercultural Services Identification Program, which was selected by JASPA as November’s Community Impact Award Winner.

About the EIS Identification program

The EIS Identification Program integrates intercultural factors using marketing and design concepts. The program is interdisciplinary collaboration between EIS, College of Business Administration and the College of Communication & Fine Arts.

The EIS Identification Project included students from Graphic Design, Marketing and EIS student staff to create a marketing brand strategy for the Social Justice Series. Three cluster groups met for four weeks and competed to develop the message, design, and brand identity for the program. Three judges reviewed the presentations: Dr. Sessoms, Dr. Saint Clair (Marketing) and Dr. Sheibel (Communication/Fine Arts).

The winning group’s (pictured above) project proposal will be used for the Social Justice Series implementation.

About the Community Impact Award

JASPA’s Community Impact Award was established to recognize outstanding efforts, coordinated by a staff member at a Jesuit institution that has met the following criteria:

  • Significant, positive impact in your collegiate community;
  • Meaningful contribution on the college student experience; and
  • Overall contribution in the spirit of our Jesuit mission.

All monthly winners will be acknowledged at the annual JASPA Awards & Recognition Ceremony taking place at the JASPA 5-Year Institute in San Francisco.
