Finding a home away from home in Greek Life

When LMU senior Carlos Soto moved to the United States from Costa Rica for college, he didn’t know anyone. That was until Greek Life and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity gave him a home away from home.

It was through SigEp’s Balanced Man program that Soto was able to develop personally and professionally. Soto, an entrepreneurship and international business major, is currently interning at Paramount Pictures in the international marketing department.

“I’m living in Los Angeles and I’m getting first-hand experience from the big names in the industry of entertainment,” Soto says in the video, “and it’s opened a lot of doors in my life.”

Check out this profile video from SigEp that highlights the senior international student’s experience at LMU, in Greek Life and as part of the Balanced Man Program. The Balanced Man Program helps fraternity brothers use their time outside the classroom to develop skills and experiences they need to succeed in college and beyond.
