OISS Hosts Fair, Panel Discussion with International Fulbright Scholars

As LMU celebrates International Education Week, International Students and Scholars invites students to two key events to help all Lions become global citizens, the International Fair at Wellness Wednesday and a panel discussion Thursday with LMU’s International Fulbright Scholars. These events will provide opportunities to explore what international education and cultural exchange look like at LMU.

International Fair at Wellness Wednesday
During this week’s Wellness Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Regents Grass, International Students and Scholars will host an International Fair where Lions can explore different organizations and departments to highlight the importance of international education and cultural exchange.

Panel Discussion with International Fulbright Scholars
Each year LMU hosts professionals and faculty from around the world to teach and conduct advanced research in their different disciplines. This semester saw a record number of Fulbright scholars come to LMU. OISS was grateful for the opportunity last month to meet with and welcome four Fulbright scholars to the U.S. and our beautiful campus. OISS invites you to join a panel discussion with visiting Fulbright Scholars on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 2-3:30 p.m. in The Living Room. This is an opportunity to learn more about them, understand why they came to LMU, and their projects and research they are pursuing during their time on campus. RSVP here.

International Education Week (IEW), November 15-19, 2021, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. At LMU, we celebrate this week by partnering with all units on campus engaged in international education to highlight and celebrate the contributions of international students and the impact of cultural exchange on our campus and beyond.
