Are you ready to start your Student EXP journey this fall? Here are nine ways to get started before classes even begin!
1. Visit the Student EXP Hub Frequently
The Student EXP is a hub is your source for everything happening outside the classroom including events, programs, support, resources and connections with the Lion community. Visit this hub to stay connected, get involved, meet new people, experience new things, learn and grow.
2. Find Student Organizations You’re Interested in on LEO
Visit lmu.edu/leo and click the “Organizations” tab to view all of LMU’s over 200 student organizations and departments. Join organizations you are interested in and create your list of student orgs to checkout at the Student Involvement Fairs this weekend.
3. Download the Corq app for LEO
Download LEO’s mobile app, called “Corq” (Powered by Campus Labs), on the Apple App Store or Google Playto take LEO on the go with you.
4. Get Your LEO Event Pass
Your Event Pass is a unique code that allows you to quickly check-in to events happening on campus. Simply open up your menu in the Corq app and select Event Pass to generate your unique pass.
5. Tour the Burns Recreation Center Wednesday, Aug. 25-Friday, Aug. 27 from 2-5 p.m.
Join the Burns Recreation Center to see the group exercise studios, Esports gaming center, pool, basketball courts and learn about Campus Recreation program options as well as employment opportunities.
6. Visit the Student EXP Involvement Fairs on Friday, Aug. 27 and Saturday, Aug. 28
Join over 150 student organizations and departments this weekend for the annual Student EXP Involvement Fairs on Friday, Aug. 27 from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 28 from 3-10 p.m. Join us to explore involvement opportunities and connect with students and staff!
7. Attend the Intercultural Welcome on Sunday, Aug. 29
Join us at our Intercultural Welcome Reception on Sunday, August 29, from 3-4 p.m. in Sculpture Garden. Join the offices within Ethnic & Intercultural Services (EIS) include Asian Pacific Student Services, Black Student Services, Chicano Latino Student Services, Intercultural Advancement, LGBT Student Services and The Learning Community for our annual welcome reception.
8. Complete Your LMU Involvement Quiz
All students are encouraged to complete this online form, so we can help connect you with involvement opportunities based on your unique results. Upon your submission a peer student involvement specialist will reach out during the first two weeks of the semester to schedule your personalized involvement consultation.
