Presidents meet the President

The presidents of Loyola Marymount University’s Service Organizations had lunch with President David Burcham and Senior Vice President Lane Bove. The lunch event is President Burcham’s way of thanking the Service Organization presidents for their contribution to the LMU and local communities.

“The recent growth of the Service Organizations speaks to the university’s commitment to the Service Organization program,” said Tom King, assistant director of student engagement for the Center for Service and Action. “From 1929 to 2003 there were five Service Organizations. From 2003 to the present four additional service organizations have been established. This growth represents well the university’s support and encouragement of the Service Organizations and their missions.”

The annual lunch event takes place near the end of each Fall semester as each of the nine Service Organizations will be under the leadership of a new executive board in the Spring.
