The Sierra Club announced that LMU is ranked #6 nationally on its annual list of “Cool Schools,” aka the most eco-friendly in America! LMU is the top Jesuit/Catholic school on the list and is the second-highest west of the Mississippi. LMU was ranked #60 on the “Cool School” list last year.
Here’s what members of the Student Worker Program, an on-campus organization involved with the Recycling Facility on campus, had to say about this, “After our 2017 National Recyclemania Championship, LMU has been ranked the #6 most sustainable school in the country by the Sierra Club. Thank you to the university’s wonderful employees in the Recycling Yard, without which we could not have received this recognition. The Student Worker Program is proud to have been working in the Yard since we established it in 1990!” – LMU Student Workers
