November 12th marked the 20th annual Charity Ball, a semi-formal dance put on by on-campus service organizations, Belles and Crimson Circle. The Ball is held annually in order to raise funds for charity.

The charity to receive the funds is chosen by either Belles or Crimson Circle, alternating yearly. This year the money raised went to two organizations: the Good Shepherd Center, a domestic violence shelter for women and children; and the St. Joseph Center, an organization whose goal is to provide impoverished and homeless men, women and children with the resources to become productive and self-supporting members of the community.

This year, the Charity Ball garnered 405 attendees and raised over $7,500 in ticket sales and donations. We reached out to the current President of Crimson Circle, Niko Klein, for his comments.

He told us, “We were happy with the large turnout and it seemed like people had a really good time. Being able to host the 20th annual of such an incredible on-campus event was an honor.”
